So we're in the midst of packing up a house and moving into a bigger house. Much bigger. 9 bedrooms bigger. Wow. What a lot of housework....shudder....oh well, it's necessary.
You see my family is about to grow. Quite considerably. And no, there's no buns in the oven. Actually these buns are quite well done now. My nephews, Michael, Sean and Josh, my sister-in-law, Michelle, who is actually quite ill with brain cancer, terminal in fact, and my mother-in-law, Crystal are coming to live with us for a while. There's a doctor here who has agreed to assess and help Michelle medically. It's her last hope and with any luck, migration issues won't hinder that. You see they're coming from the United States.
And soon my 3 step-children are also coming to live with us for a while. Alec, Elisabeth and Isabelle are Alecz's three great kids from his first marriage. They've said they want to come and spend time with their dad and their other three sisters and get to know us and Australia.
So that count is - 5 adults and possibly my youngest brother, Anthony and 9 children. Their ages range from 14 down to 3. Wow. Kind of exciting actually, having sons and stuff. We speak to all kids regularly, either on the phone (thank goodness for engin! thanks dad!) or on our webcams. I've even sewn a couple of items for the girls and have started some cool camo clothes for Alec.
So yea...our house is going to be a constant beehive of activity. Huh, I just thought of something...imagine the chrissy pressies under the christmas tree!! Wow, what an image!! Interesting experience. Looking forward to tackling it.
Just a glimpse into the complex simplicity of the enigma that is the Crown Family.

Blogging
Well I've done quite a bit on this here blog now. Don't know that it's very interesting yet but what the hey. It's fun. And has put me back in touch with rellies I haven't had contact with for...I don't know how long. The lord works in mysterious ways.
Family

This is Alecz and his Cousin Danny who actually comes to Oz from Canada every so often to work on land-based drilling camps over in WA (western Australia) and other ridiculously remote areas.
He's very possibly one of the funniest guys I know and has us in a constant state of mirth. An absolute pleasure to have over here visiting us. And the girls love him "It's Uncle Danny!"

My Flowers
The banksia men flower. As a kid I loved Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and for some really strange reason I always enjoyed the evil banksia men! Go figure. Weird.

Funny Movies
OMG I just sat through THE funniest movie yet. "Wild Hogs" - John Travolta, William H Macy, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and Ray Liotta. So freaking hilarious I barely stopped laughing.

I highly recommend seeing it. It's honestly funny, not a cuss word in ear shot and in all a great watch. I don't think I've seen W H Macy in anything as funny.

Creativeness
So I've been inspired. I recently bought an absolute kickass camera and have been happy snapping with it left right and centre, without really knowning exactly what to do with what I have. Angus and Robertson are at the moment having a big sale and just on a whim I go look at what they have and there they were. Two inexpensive beginner guides to digital photography! So I bought them. There's some pretty useful info in them and some amazing photos. So now I'm going to take some extra impressive shots and I'll post them to let everyone see! hehe...well maybe. Here's hoping!

NEED WASHING ???
An email I got from a friend...just thought I'd share it.
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must Have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout.
We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of theTarget. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we wereall caught in. "Mom let's run through the rain," she said. "What" Mom asked. "Lets run through the rain!" She repeated. "No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about anotherminute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain," "We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm. "This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now somewould laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignorewhat was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If God let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday.
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.
Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to also send it to the person who sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry.
Take the time to live!!! Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other-- and don't forget to run in the rain.
